Deutsche Nationalbibliothek (German National Library)
online: www.dnb.de
The Deutsche Nationalbibliothek (DNB) has the task to collect, permanently archive, bibliographically register as well as to make available to the public all German and German-language publications from 1913 onwards, foreign publications about Germany and translations of German works as well as works of German-speaking emigrants published between 1933 and 1945.
The basis of the data exchange and the data protection is the XML standard. Many of the popular XML formats, as for example ONIX and MARC21, as well as appropriate means for setting up an efficient mass data storage form the cornerstone of the work of the DNB.
parsQube supports the DNB in a joint project in the field of the evaluation of appropriate XML databases and the XML data analysis.
