XQuery - Introduction to the language for querying XML databases
XQuery is the language for the query of data from XML files. For this purpose, the data do not necessarily have to be XML data, but only have to be available in a XML structue. This XML structure is, e.g., also given by a XML database. In order to be able to work with XQuery, you should have knowledge in XML, XML Schema and XPath. As query language, XQuery offers many expressions (FLWOR expressions) and functions in order to find and extract elements and attributes from XML data.
